FINLAND EATS FROM SATAKUNTA - SIKSES PARASTA LOCAL FOOD

Our main goal is to support the development and growth of the food chain in Satakunta by branding the food province. The Satakunta food chain is highlighted by emphasising sustainable and responsible operations. We draw on the experience of the network of actors in previous projects.

FOR PRODUCERS AND ENTREPRENEURS

We increase cooperation and networking between producers and entrepreneurs in Satakunta. Work and employment are kept on display because local food professions require good, knowledgeable people.

FOR STUDENTS

The aim is that Satakunta will be an attractive destination to work and find employment in the future. We introduce the professions of the food chain to young people and, in cooperation with educational institutions and producers, highlight different work tasks through stories.

FOR CONSUMERS

New market channels will be introduced to consumers. In communication, new methods of operation and ways to bring products to shops and professional kitchens are tested.

CREATORS

The project is carried out by Satakunta’s key food development organisations ProAgria Western Finland, Satafood Development Association and Pyhäjärvi Institute. The project is funded by Satakunta ELY Centre from the Rural Development Fund of Mainland Finland.
